Requirements and Terms

1. Author must be regular faculty, emeritus faculty, adjunct faculty, fellow, or similar status at an accredited institution of higher learning (graduate school, university, college, or community college) in the U.S. or Canada. You will be required to submit evidence of this relationship. We will consider submissions from other countries if the book is in English.

2. Manuscript must be approved for publication by our editorial board.

3. Author submits manuscript prepared on computer using standard word processing software (MS Word, WordPerfect, etc.). Author need not submit camera ready copy.

4. Ivy Halls Academic Press will conduct a copyedit, provide a custom page design and layout and provide a custom cover design. Proofing will be done by the author, and the author will be in complete control of both content and design.

5. Graphics, illustrations, or photos may be provided by the author. Graphics can be created by Ivy Halls Academic Press based on informal designs submitted by author.

6. Books may be trade paper or hard cover.

7. Books are normally available within two to three months after manuscript is approved.

8. Author maintains copyright, but Ivy Halls Academic Press holds exclusive publishing rights.

9. Royalties are paid as follows:

     1-500 copies = 0% of net sales

     501-10,000 copies = 10% of net sales

     more than 10,000 copies = 15% of net sales

10. Ivy Halls Academic Press guarantees to keep the book in print for at least ten years.

11. List prices are as low as possible, significantly lower than similar academic presses.
